Lemic Ngalla
Project Director
Lemic Ngalla holds a degree in Sociology with Information Technology from Maseno University. He also holds certifications in Social Work from Lahti and Seinajoki Universities of Applied Sciences (Finland).
Lemic has a wealth of experience in project management having worked with several organizations including Kesho Kenya. Prior to being Upendo’s Project Director, Lemic worked at Upendo as an Assistant Administrator between 2015 and 2016.
Peris Mwaka
Social Worker
Peris has vast experience working with children and youth in Kilifi. Before joining Upendo, Peris worked with Moving The Goal Post organization, the Department of Children Services in Ganze and UNICEF.
Grace Kabugu
Caretaker
Grace helps in taking care of the children’s clothes, the gardens, the cleaning, and other daily activities such as taking the children to the hospital for treatment.
Hadija Mlongo
Cook
Hadija is an extremely hard-working and cheerful lady who prepares the children’s meals. Upendo provides the children with a balanced diet; 3 meals a day throughout the year.
Gabriel Saro and William Iha
Security Guards
The security guards have an overall role of maintaining a safe and secure environment for children, visitors, assets and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. They promote and enforce safety and security as they act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity.
